rock slider for disco

hi just been looking for like a side step for the disco 2, i don't like the look of any available so got onto looking at rock sliders (mainly for looks) but i want the proper thing, and as i don't know alot about this sort of thing i thought i would ask.
i have been looking at these that seem reasonable
land rover discovery 2 rock tree sliders td5 on eBay (end time 08-Apr-11 09:59:32 BST)

do these look ok or has any one bought any of these? they do bolt to the the chassis and sills, but would you also weld them? it also seem that you get rid of the plastic trim that runs alon the bottom of the D2.

I am fitting a pair made by the same people to my V8 disco 1 they are very good.
Mine were custom made to allow for larger wheels and tyres.

Not sure about the D2 but on the D1 the plastic sill cover does need to be removed, welding would just be overkill imo and make it a pain if you ever wanted to remove them.

Have used them a few times now and only ever bolted them on, they have taken some grief and still looked fine after.
