Alright Guy's,

Can anyone help i've just had my abs sensors done on both front wheels, And i need to know if i will have to put the car back on the computer to reset the codes or will they go off nwhen the car is driven????????

Thanks in advance,

Swally

they should go out on their own ,sensors have to be carefully fitted as it is easy not to get them down properly especially with new o ring , also make sure abs ring is really clean as can accumilate grease and that wheel bearing is okay as slight movement will put light back on

IMO u must plug it in if the ABS light was permanently on before, it wont go out by itself......and it might not extinguish after u erase the codes just when u drive it and exceed 5mph.

they normally go out after the fault is fixed but it will still be logged on the ecu so will need clearing
If there are faults logged then the light comes on when you turn on the ignition and goes out when you get to just over walking pace. If know faults are logged then the light comes on when you turn on the ignition, goes out, comes on again and then goes at when you get to just over walking pace. You don't need to plug it in to a computer to clear the faults, do a search on here and you will find the instructions to do it yourself
