well as per title mike is coming next week, so been checking mileage etc. prior to his visit, i`m getting an average of 27.78 mpg which includes just about everything including towing (been doing a lot of logging lately) so will be very interesting to see what its like after the remap, will post findings here once i`ve got some concrete results.

mines had a td5 re=map, never have to rev it past 3000, still pretty shocking around town, but it is an auto. Made a massive difference to drivability, and much better than a peaky chip. PS how on earth are you averaging 27mpg? I get about 22 around town and no more than 30 on a run. I'v got a de=cat pipe, no middle silencer, d-egr'd and 19" inch wheels and engines only done 50k...

Have you considered doing the Torque Converter modification? Peeps who have done it report better driving, better mpg and overall a significant improvement. I'm saving up right now to do it to my auto.

In basic terms it is a larger, modified TC that allows engine power to be transferred to the auto gearbox better giving a more cohesive drive, better mpg and just altogether a nicer car.

Ashcroft Transmissions supply the modified TC and if you do a search on here you will find MTurri, who amongst others, has done this mod.
 
Well heres the latest update, mike came today installed a later type 03 ecu and remapped it once all the other numbers like injector codes changing to two track throttle etc. Had been done and the result is frankly superb,crisp throttle response much more low end torque smoother quieter so as you may gather i am very impressed with his proffesionalism and he is a top bloke highly reccomended.

he did mine as well this morning alot better now A star service he did say he had another discovery to do today must have been yours
