Hi, I'm new here having just bought a 04 TD5 Disco ES Premium. The radio/Sat Nav didn't work when purchased, I think due to water ingress as I discovered the windsceen leaked ( Now sorted), so I've fitted a secondhand (Tested Unit), but here is the odd thing, with the ignition off the radio, cd, cd changer, sat nav all work as normal via the set and the steering wheel controls, yet if you turn on the ignition the radio comes on but then the sound goes off after 3 seconds, leaving the radio station etc displayed as normal, the cd multichanger will not work, cd track etc is just blank. If I unplug the 2 mini iso plugs ( Not the main 2 iso plugs) from the back of the set, the radio, satnav and the single cd in the set all work ok with the ignition on. Removing these 2 mini iso plugs disables the radio controls on the steering wheel and the cd changer. I've tested the feeds at all the connections at the rear of the unit and they don't appear to change with ignition on or off. Any ideas, I need a beer after writing all of that.

Hi, I too am new on here and ironically have the exact same fault on the exact same model Disco I have just bought. When I went for a look round everything worked fine in cluding all the stero equipment but I didn't notice the ignition was off. It was only later I realised the fault, the local dealer said it would need a full check over which sounded expensive so I sought help from this forum. So in short I hoping you sorted your disco and I was hoping you could tell me how to sort mine,

Fingers Crossed Mick
