R990 playing up

Good morning all.
I am new to Land Rovers and have just bought a 53 plate discovery.
I have a problem with the CD stacker or head unit.
I have loaded the cd stacker full and when I turn the head unit on without the ignition on, it works fine,
But when I turn the engine on the head unit says CD0-00 and will not play any CDs
Rest of the functions radio, cassette work fine.

Any help would be greatly received

Try sliding a credit card over the top of the cassette in the CD player to trip the micro switch. May solve your problem - worked for me
