Like the last thread I have been looking for a nice 300Tdi for ages

I think I have come across one :-

12 Months MOT and Taxed
Looks in Lovely unmarked condition


The dealer is asking £2,895 but I know he would probably knock a few hundred off for cash ( I hope )

The last discovery he had went in a day..I just missed out

Laughable! Tell the seller you're not interested until that price is halved...at least! Trouble is you ARE interested eh? :doh:

Wow.. that low.. I must admit I am interested and I thought £2500 would be an ok price

I have been looking for weeks for a disco and everyone I have seen around the £1500 mark have been rust buckets or not well looked after..

Now you have got me thinking..

He has just txt me to say he would not go lower that £2700 as he had to spend so much on the MOT !

I've decided to hang on and find a cheaper 200/300

I guess the reason I was tempted is that I have three children and we sold a Nissan Patrol 3 weeks ago thinking I could find a discovery easily but I havent so at the moment we only have a 2 seater Mk1 MX5 !!

Do some reading on here and if need be if you can't find an answer then ask on here.

If you act in haste you can repent at leisure, there are bargains and also a lot of polished turds.

Blimey, i would have £2500 to be ok,

I paid £1800 for a 1994 300tdi 5dr manual with 120k on the clock, no boot floor, 12 months dodgy mot, no service history, 12 owners and a buggered turbo !!!!!!

Mates got one and paid £1000 boot floor done and 12 months mot and service history

yep that's laughable.

Brought an M reg for my brother-in-law, tidy, 12 months test, all the welding done professionally, 125,000 miles £850 and I knocked them down a bit.

if you look on ebay there doing silly stupid money, just seen a 300tdi on a r plate bidding at £2390

Yeah the thing is that they look like they sell - only to be relisted in a week or two, buyer didn't turn up.


Tdi 300's are not worth over £2000 no matter how good they look superficially.

there worth what people are willing to pay for them, theres high demand for disco's at the minute, price of d2's have shot up even lro say £3060 for a ****ter and £4700 for a good runner £6070 for minter 1998-2002

For a TD5 7 seater S Model. Further models worth more

As for LRO prices, having a fecking laugh, everything they price is a premium price.

like i said there worth what people are willing to pay. my old F reg 90 2.5td that i put on ebay went for £3500 a 12 month ago. had a 200tdi disco K reg sold for £1200 on ebay. if people want it they'l pay for it

They've gone up like buggery in the last 12 months for some reason. The last disco I had I paid 600 quid for with a year's test and a load of tax. Ebay is not a good place for a bargain anymore.
