Quick question lads

Got my disco in for a axle shaft seal on the drivers side (oil all over the inner rim if wheel) anyway the garage said they can be tricky ba###rds I am expecting a big bill fir this how much would you recon ? Just under £200 quid ???

Doing it myself on a fender anyway I would say a 40 minute job at most and it would cost me the price of some seals, lock washer and some gaskets. Job done. Your garage sounds like a right rip off merchant though I don't know how easy a job it is on a disco 2

Go somewhere else and look for quote. Never done one on D2. D1 takes about an hour or so., can't see it been much different...

My rear axle leaked oil onto the wheel. It was the hub bearing. Needed new hub to cure it.
