power gains

You won't get much in the way of power gains but what you should get is a smoother drive less transmission shunt when changing gear at low speed less black smoke and the turbo should spin up quicker giving you boost lower down the rev range, thats how mine reacted to both of those mods anyway :D

As Oldskool says, the actual BHP figures won't change much if at all, but the driving feel will improve significantly.

It's still be a heavy, old, underpowered lump, but a more responsive one :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

yeah all sounds like what i thought but im not really botherd about more power but more driveability wud be a gud thing and a bit more miles to my gallon wud be gud but i got say mine aint exactley slow n will soon hit 80 in 5th from a 50 roll one so im happy enough iv spent years with fast cars n fast bikes n iv sold my car n got a disco n im sellin my ninja for a crosser so i can play in the mud again lol

gonna get a solid de-cat pipe n clean the sediment filter out and intercoller and possible inlet manifold.

any one know how many rubber seals the sediment filter body needs as iv seen 2 shown in the rebuild pics but only one listed so is it a case of 2 of the same seals for the body and a new tap one of course.

I have a TD5 with 100k on it. As yet I hav'nt blanked the EGR as the car is running perfectly. I think the advantages of blanking (and cleaning the inlet manifold and intercooler) come with extended mileages when the " s**t has built up. I do intend to do this work in the near future to maintain the current performance.

just bought the de-egr kit for my td5 yesterday. hope to fit at the w-end.
mines done 110,000 miles and (touchwood) runs fine. i personally have found that if something works, then leave it alone. so was a bit apprehensive, but after reading lots of posts, i`m gonna give it a go. will post up the results.

The easiest way to check if you will benefit or not from this mod is to take out the MAP from the inlet manifold and inspect it - if it is caked with black tar you car will benefit.
