P38 seats in a 95 disco help told they would fit!

Hi

I have read and been told that p38 seats will fit straight into a disco 1, so off I went and bought the wife a nice leather interior from a p38 and they arrived today. I can't see how they just fit in the rear seats locking mechanism is in a totally different place it is the standard u bracket found in more modern cars where as my disco 1 has the catches on the side of the seat.

Is it possible to make it fit?

Sorry I can't help, but I have been asking if P38 seats fit for a while and could never get an answer. I know RR classic seats fit but I can never find any the right colour, plenty of P38 seats available though.

I shall wait with interest to see what this thread brings!

Its possible,as is anything if you throw enough money and time at it,but its not going to be straightforward.As far as I am aware P38 seats are NOT a straight fit into a disco mk1.But I would be happy to be told I am wrong...........

Need a bit of work, have to make bases plates.as to be 5m+ steel, did it to my old 200tdi discovery it can be done

why didnt ya just buy a disco leather int?
