Orch's disco tale

Had one of these on another forum since buying in 2012 so thought I'd start one here too, and catch up from then to now.

Damn I forgot how clean she was. Bog standard TD5 ES.







Wasn't long before the toys started arriving

After a few trips out on the plains a few more goodies starting being bought







My first bit of basic maintenance I think

Oil cooler pipe decided it didn't fancy carrying on, leaving me stuck with no signal, hardly any battery and on my own with a 2 year old and dog late at night

New one soon fitted



New steering damper, plus signs of ATF let go by the cooler pipe!



Next was change the viscous fan pulley bearing, which was FUBAR.

Got the begger out in the end

Time to go in size, 285/75 this time

It was rubbing on the rear most section of both front and rear arches, so added 30mm spring spacers, taking it to around 4 inch lift give or take a bit









Bit too tall for the trailer now lol

Remap time

Bought a daily driver, so the disco could become full time toy



Exhaust now completely straight through, and pretty loud!

I do like them when modded.

Think I've pretty much decided next purchases will be 75mm Flexi arches, 16x10 ET-50 steels and 35x13.5 Mudzillas.

Now just got to gather the pennies!!

Really like this........gives me more motivation to get on with mine

Good stuff. The more D2s that are up for taking the mods and mud a bit further, the more demand, and hopefully supply!, there will be for better products!

It's frustrating that there's such a lack of parts available for D2s still in the UK, even after 15+ years, yet the Aussie's and yanks seem to get as much development and attention as the D1s.
