Opinions please! To keep her (D2) or to change to D3?

I'm having a mid life crisis at 149K miles and need your opinions on what I should do next!

My D2 TD5 Commercial is used for my commute and for Search and Rescue. It is important to me that my transport is reliable as we can be called at any time of day or night to look for missing people. I am also part of the local Community 4x4 Response and would like to join The Community First Responders too just to make sure! So you can see it is important that any vehicle I have works as it should, so I would love everyones input before I do something rash!

Options :
1. Replace D2 with D3 (I can raise 10K for this)
2. Keep D2 and spend money replacing and fixing it's current faults, knowing I would never recover this if I end up selling it.

Heres my D2;
Oil leak from steering, fixed with Lucas stuff for time being.
Oil leak from gearbox - I'd really like to fix this as I think it lets in water too (I do not have facilities to remove box)
Bushes etc worn, rear "squeak" on large humps from suspension, no idea what this is.
Clunk from transmission when changing from forward to reverse and back again - Transfer output bearings or diff?
Clutch must be due!
No reverse lights even after replacing switch - switch works but never gets activated when selecting reverse. I would really love to fix this!
Despite aircon test only keeps charge for 4 months.
Three amigos (four actually) on, front hub - got spare but can't get hub nut off!

Good stuff, owned for 70K, replaced air springs, brakes, no smoke, GB selects well, new clutch master and slave, good BFG's. New shocks. Have new dual mass and clutch spare ready. Starts no issues. Shuttle valve replaced.
Needs : New wheels, decat, EGR, rear screen, air con gas, rear seats.

Oh and at 147K what surprises I await I cannot tell!

D3 - unknown! IS 10K enough or will it be a bag of nails?

Thanks for you help guys!

More leg room than a ninety as standard mate has a new tdci with leather and has said it's very comfy compared to the othe 3 ninetys he owns used to get bad back back but not anymore.
So maybe it's just a case of changing the seats up front.
Personally I've never had an issue with comfort but I've owned several series 1s so my 110 is complete luxury.
