hello
i got a d2 td5 and having power prob

i got a fault with the turbocharger wastegate modulator
it as been byepassed with the plug left on
i was then thinking today what the voltage was to the plug so tested it 14v with the eng runing
then in the mad head off mine thought what will happen if i put a resistor in the plug and bring the voltage to almost nothing so i did
turnd the eng off then back on and it shounds mint well alot better then she did befor y his this ?
i dont think this will damage any think what do u think ?

i do have a new one to pick up on friday and fit but the one thats on it only 2 months old

I don't spose you can say that again in English?

right ok ill try
we all no what the turbocharger waste-gate modulator is ?
mine was faulty so i bypassed it
leaving the electronic plug on it
well that plug i tested the voltage which was 14 volts with the car running

i then pulled the plug off ( did not plug it back on )and put a resistor in the two pins which made the voltage 2v

(after turned the key off and on a gen )
the td5 runs a lot better like this y ?

i no modulator is faulty that's y i bypassed it
but in most post that tell u how to bypass the modulator say keep the plug on and just bypass the air pips

do u get what am saying now am a bit dyslexic

Yep I get it now. I'm guessing that by dropping the voltage it simply thinks it's unplugged and therefore goes into a default setting.
