Lovely Shropshire...
So have stripped the engine down to get one of the heads off as it appears that one of the head gaskets is buggered (the deeper i go the more apparent it is), the question is would you do both head gaskets while you were in there........whilst i am posting would also mention that the lovely people who did the lpg conversion drilled into the inlet manifold while it was still on the motor!!!!

Won't know if there is any swarf where it shouldn't be or what damage it may have caused till i strip it further......tis the season to be jolly!

Hmmmmm.......the story so far is that the last cylinder haed bolt is inaccessable, socket of the not cheap veriety slipped on the knut rendering it fubar'ed and wrecking my little finger in the process....at which point the innocent bystander noticed the "pads" missing of the valve end of the rocker arms (they fell off!!....but have to say that the engine had no rattles at all), which are now languishing somewhere in the oilways to be retreived when i get the engine out....not very happy and resigned to now rebuilding the engine as don't trust anyone to supply me with another one as we put a turn key engine in my brothers p38 from a reputable supplier to find after 3,000 miles that it is ticking and they are saying that they had had a duff batch of rocker arms supplied to them and i can buy the new set at cost!!! so we have that saga to sort out when this one is finished.....didn't think i would be doing this again.......
