Hi Guys, i've got a disco 11 td5 and touch wood, haven't had any major problems within the 12 months that i've had it. The only small niggly fault is that the temperture switch on the left hand side of the climate control unit has ceased to illuminate. Also the bottom row of buttons{the row with the on/off button}dont illuminate either. Can this be easily rectified or is it something i'm going to have to put up with. Any advice would be gratefully accepted.:)

You will be able to buy the bottom lamps from any good car shop got about £1.25 each but the temp control ones are not so easy to get. They have a removable green silicone cap. I replaced mine with green LED's. Search for " T5 neo wedge" on eBay.£1.50 for two but they come from Japan.

halfrauds didn't have the smaller Bulbs when i visited them though the bigger ones they had stock.
Ended up going to LR dealer who then had no stock so pointed me to an independent 4x4 dealer who had some £2.25 each.

The Temperature +/- Switch Bulbs are Part No. JWH100070

They come complete, as shown below -

You probably could change just the bulb in the carrier, but the bulb will need long-ish wire tails, as they have to wrap around the terminals on the carrier.

The bulb is clear, the Green bit is a little rubber 'condom'

The easiest way to remove the Climate Control Unit is to remove the Ash Tray and Coin Tray, undo the screws that retain the Cup-Holder and remove it.

Then you can reach up the sides of the Climate Control Unit and press-in the spring clips that hold it into the dash, pull the unit forward and un-plug it from the loom.

To get at the bulbs you have to undo the screws to take the back off of the unit and un-plug the ribbon cable inside to separate the back from the front.

I replaced all of the bulbs in there while I had it out of the vehicle and taken apart.

The other bulbs are -
