I'm having problems with a Discovery which refuses to 'turn over'. The battery is charged, even fitted a new starter motor as I thought this must be the fault, but it still won't go. When you turn the ignition on, the lights come on as normal, and when you turn the key to start the car they stay illuminated without dimming. There is a click on the passenger side of the car, and the pump solenoid is clicking normally when the ignition in turned on. I'm a bit lost, so hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction before I give up hope and send it to the breakers yard... :(

Just checked a few posts on here, and the 'spider' seems to relate to 1996-8 vehicles with 2 button fobs. This car is a 1995 model and has the single button fob with LED. Does the 'spider' fault still happen with the earlier model?
