on my 300tdi when i pull off i get a gear grind noise but when im driving its not there could it be transfer box ? please help

for got to say it shudders a bit aswell when pull off it sounds like when you miss a gear and it makes a crunching noise

its a bit cracked i replaced it about 4 months ago would that cause the gear crunch noise ?

i presume the gear crunch doesnt occur while changing gear,other wise yes or clutch plate and brg
