no drive

after installing new cooler pipes on the gearbox and a ecu exstension and two front wheel bearings ive taken it out for a drive today done about 30 miles and the m and s lights came on and i managed to limp home.

got home thought there wernt enough oil in the gearbox as there has been a bit of clunking, so added about one litre and thats all it will take i keep running it through the gears and that is all it will take.

anyway just got back in it and it will drive in reverse fine and it will drive in 1st fine but when you put it in d,3,2 it just revs up and nothing happens and then m and s start to flash again?

anyone got any ideas to the problem?

be honest with you i havent tried that! i might try going back to the original harness again quickly.

I dont think it is likely to be , if you didnt have the problem to start with, for a couple of reasons...
1) professional pride .
2) Cable looms dont normally fail so quickly - either it works, or it doesnt. Obviously they can fail over time, but if it was running ok to start with, it wont have failed over 30 miles .

if i need to get it rebuilt wheres the cheapest place? this car is turning into a joke.

i think a better question would be if i need to get it rebuilt where would it be best to take it?' as the cheapest option is hardly ever the best

i dont think you would need complete rebuild as usual problems are in the front of box either clutch pack or packs or one way clutch,,its possible to do by competent person with a bit of instruction,
