whilst rooting around my engine bay i came across the item in the the 1st picture... looks like an egr blanking plate to me... am i right?

had a look around the egr and it looks to me as if there may be an egr blanking plate fitted... tried to get some photies wiv my phone but it wernt easy...

if ya look at the second 2 piccies there looks to be two gaskets of some kind with a plate between.. slightly confused as the egr is still in place... along with all the pipework...

any opinions as to whether the egr has been blanked off...

the gasket between egr and manifold does look like your photos it is a 4mm plate with gasket either side i would think you may need to fit blank as well leave all pipe work alone only need to put blank in between

blanking plate stops ERG operation, but engine will `breath' better if you remove the ERG and fit a bypass - kits from Devon 4x4 Alive tuning or ebay.
hope this helps
