Evening folks,

Hope eveyone had a good xmas with lots of food an DRINK!

I'm after some advice really. Thinking of selling my car to clear debt and dont fancy using my G reg disco as my only vehicle as its a bit rough and ready!

So my question is do i buy a newer disco (P,R reg) or do i get something like an X reg freelander. Freelanders look more like a car you would drive about town in and take on long journeys, where as i think disco's look meaner and more up to the job in my opinion!

I want it to be a happy medium, some off roading(nothing too heavy) and obviously my day to day too. I want to be able to put some tyres like kumho kl75 on it too and also a snorkel. Dont think ive seen a safari snorkel on a freelander before?? Also can you get diesel freelanders? I also want it to be as good in the snow as my disco is.

Any help and advice would be really good

Take a peek in the Freelander section and you'll come to realise they are problem free and easy to work on.......er......:doh::doh:

Thanks will do, may be a silly question but can you get them in diesel too, only ones i have seen have been petrol? Also can you get safari snorkels for them?

I have a 2004 TD4 auto freelander and a 1997 300tdi auto disco. It horses for courses. I bought the freelander to replace my Mundeo as an everyday car and it has done that faultlessly for the last 3 years and has been brilliant in the snow. If however I want to use my trailer with weight on it then I use the Disco and I use the disco at weekends. Disco likes attention, it usually reminds if I havent used it for a couple of weeks by becoming incontinent or leaking from its sunroofs just to name a few faults! Wouldn't change either of them, different animals but good at their respective jobs.

Freelander might have Land Rover badges all over it BUT it shows how much faith LR had in it on the last Camel Trophy event by them, having each FL assigned a 110 to follow them for the event
