new battery

hi all, newbie here. put a new battery into my disco yesterday now it wont start, its turning over but wont fire. 1. cant hear the fuel pump running when i turn on the ignition, an 2. the hazzard lights keep flashing can anyone help please........

no m8 changed the clutch 2 days ago left the battery disconnected knowing i needed a new one only collected the new battery yesterday

use the fob to unlock - lock - unlock the car then put ignition on pos II and leave it so for about 3 minutes....turn ignition off lock - unlock then try to start it again.

tried the lock an unlock thing but not for 3 mins will give it a go thanks

what about the red LED on the dash.....what it's doing...and as it was a hint above wont hurt to push the inertia switch.

thanks sierraferry for your help turns out the back door handle was stuck in the open position mustve been holding out the alarm
