Nanocom woes!!

Hi All

is there any Nanocom gurus out there, i have the older type nanocom and have 6 unlock codes in the unit, when i turn on it only gives the options of td5 engine def alarm and def abs, also when i connected through usb to the laptop the drivers cannot be found, i have explored the cd rom that comes with the unit and also downloaded the 2.05 zip file from Nanocom's site, but the PC keeps telling me the required information cannot be found.
getting close to pulling my hair out as i wanted to get a few things sorted this weekend.
i have contacted nanocom through their site giving the unit code and all unlock codes but thought i would ask on here to if someone can shed any light to what i am doing wrong??

Hi,

I had a similar problem with the USB driver - I had installed it all some time ago then when I came to use it recently the PC wouldn't recognise it.

Download the drivers from the nanocom site (:: Download - Nanocom ::), unzip the files and then when the PC tells you it doesn't have the drivers install using the .inf file.

For the unlock codes, you use the nanocom ID which you can access via setup on the PC menu. You only need 01 to 06.

Think I have got it Sussed, after calming down I realised it was ten USB-rs232 that needed a separate driver, downloaded this and it still didn't want to work, After a lot of tooing and froing, I downloaded the 2.04 firmware after finding a power supply kicking around the house, this then accepted the 6 codes and began to function as normal, the unit was originally running 1.07 so a big jump and everything is back to normal again.:doh:
