My first landy!!

Just bought my first disco!
Can't contain how happy I am, going to pick it up on Saturday.
First things first, good service then have a good old play
Not too bad as a first car either

1st Car? how old are you?

But you have opted for (aside from a Defender) the best and only car you'll want to drive ... believe me the Landy bug will bite you good style and you'll not want to drive another marquee

Well my 1st spin in a Series was an ex MOD (dunno what year), but I reckon it was a S2, it was the most uncomfortable car ride ever, the tyres fitted made the ride unbearable lol. So much vibration and noise that made me think my dad's Cortina was a sodding limo!:doh: But here I am smitten by LR's, albeit not the older one's

I got mine a few weeks ago and have been chuffed to bits with it!

Soooooo much motor for so little money

:welcome2: Got my p38 in november. Asked the misses last night if I could buy a stage 1 v8 I saw advertised other day. Thought she was going to kill me. Its true what they say, its a land rover thing, you wouldnt understand. Might still go have a look though

I gave up driving marquee's years ago, the flaps blow in the wind an it knocks the beer table over

Maybe a marque no ?

Any way OP, welcome, and yes, you'll love the Landy madness, this forum is a font of knowledge (oh and ****-taking, ribbing, micky-taking and general fun)

...as in a series 3 stage i V8?......i had one, called it Margo as Margo from the good life would not have got in it......most reliable Land Rover i ever had......at the time i went from a p38 to the stage 1 due to circumstances........great truck....

funny I did the same a few years ago and got a very similar reaction, the stage 1 is still my favorite LR product, first time they ever really got the power thing right.

as for bitten by series, you can get creams for it now

but you is right, they are the purest lr experience, slow, noisey, thirsty, rust eaten, freezing in winter to hot in summer, would i swap my disco for one and return to the fold?

now that is the question........

Lucky you I had to wait until I was 36 to get my first land rover which I have had for just about 2 months, although I have only been driving for a little over 3 years

bought my first one 2 weeks ago in Saudi, V8 Auto, 3.9 ltr just as well the juice is cheap here though it likes a drink.
