MPG/ Full Tank? What you getting?

just done my first fullish tank of fuel in my 300tdi and dont know whats realistic mileage wise.

I had approx 80 litres of diesel in her, travel 10 miles round trip to work up and down hills etc, no fuel light on yet and ive done 418 miles so far with new all terrain tyres, not far from the light coming on though me thinks!

Worked out at roughly 28-30 mpg depending on whats left in there!

(i dont want to do this personally but how many miles do you get when fuel light is on?)

Managed about 45 miles with the red light on but bravery ran out before the diesel did .

Normally manage 400+ on a full tank, last time I worked out mpg, think it was 26.75.

Mine seems achieve 25-30, primarily short runs.

If you are looking at mpg, my auto TDi 300 averaged 33 over the 16,000mls that I had her.

If you are looking at range, on a run I would get 600mls on a tank.

My 300tdi used to get around 25 mpg, a good service and a few mods now getting pretty consistent 33mpg
Normal everyday driving.
My 200tdi averages around 30 mpg

200 tdi does about 33mpg..... normally fill up at just under half a tank but last time left it till the light had been on for abit... 500 miles £86 to fill up worked out 32 point something.

Where do you fill up!? Last time I filled the tank it cost me just under £100

I usually get 500 to 550 to a full tank not sure what that is to the gallon but seems quit good

I've managed around 30-33 mpg on a run , 25 mpg around town ........ 15-19mpg towing my caravan (big heavy twin wheeled bitch) the caravan not our Peg lol

was shocked with my disco when I got it about a month ago. it's a 1999 TD5 and only managed 270 miles on £80 of diesel!! I found out that the fuel regulator was leaking and an air sensor and manifold pressure sensor were knackered. £320 later I am just about to see if I get a sensible MPG out of it! I'm praying.:doh:

You would have to get 500/ 530 miles out of 80 litres to get 28 / 30 mpg.I think there is aout 10 litres still in the tank when the light comes on.

got 460 mile on there now and fuel light came on as i pulled up at home so should do 500 at least, glad to see that mine is similar to everyone elses!

i can get around 800 miles on a full tank, but that is long distance. i get a little over 600 normal day to day driving

89 ltr, on a 300tdi. It wasn't that good when i first got it though.

On a TDi 200 yes, but the 300's I find are at least 10 less good on mpg.
