MOT & Leaking swivel

I have a leaking swivel and i want to know if it is a MOT ( Fail ) as my MOT Runs out on the 4th and i don't have time to get it done and i need to keep the Disco on the the road ... As the plod say i can not keep it outside my house if no MOT BUT CAN DRIVE To a test WTF is that about

wipe it off with rag just down road from mot place, generally they fail if tester feels it could make brakes dangerous

I had a leaky swivel on my old RRC so I put in some grease to mix with the oil and that stoped the leak, before that all I did was clean the muck and oil off both balls before driving to the MOT.

You can still drive to a pre-arranged MOT even if the vehicle doesn't have a currant certificate.

well i will give it a good clean anyway it's the seal that's the problem so oil would just run out and the grease it on the sidewall of the tyre

filled mine with one shot grease. Wiped it all clean then took it for its test. Replaced the seal after the test

If the swivel has a drain plug on it you could always drain the thing, wipe it clean and take it for the MOT. After it passes refill it.
