MOT fail

Well after 3 years of trouble free Disco ownership it finally happened. 94 Disco MOT fail . Sills have gone on both sides. Im looking for cheapest fix for the old girl so was thinking home made 60 x 100 box section 3.2 mm wall. I dont off road so no need to go o.t.t. Apparently about £30 for 7metres. Enough to make 4 sills. What do you guys recon. Good idea ?

Im doing the same thing myself this weekend mate. I got some 50x75x3.2 box section so its not gonna be as simple as a straight replacement. But yeah jus chop out and weld in

Is it not curved slightly? Or can yu get away with straight section.

As far as i can tell its not curved, straight section seems to be doing fine.

bottom of doors is curved so sliders are curved to fit doors, but sill itself is actually straight

Dont think there is anything left to plate to I was surprised they passed them last year. Going down sunny Derbyshire next week with caravan to do a course for work, so next weekend will have to get on it.
