Hi,

I have looked through loadsa posts relating to this kind of problem and to which i have found very helpfull, but just dont know where else to go with my problem :(

Car: Land rover Discovery 1995 300 tdi manual ( diesel & veg ( Twin tank) set up.

History: Running fine but was a bit lumpy (down on power ( 50mph) running on veg oil, but put it down to cold temprature/early morning, soon as i switched to diesel all good and would run fine on veg later on in the day...i change the fuel filters regulary...but

decided to change the main one (metal one) again just for the sake of it (so i could record mileage when changed) ..put it on dry, like i have before.

got a couple of miles up the road then conked out, would tick over but not accept throttle, then wouldnt start at all...long story, but i managed to suck the diesel through by hand purging the from the "IN" pipe at lift pump. Cleared majority of air from it, to which it started, slowly revved and finally back to normal...but

Runs absolutly fine on diesel but when i switch over to veg oil (via the on switch on steering column) , looses power and would conk out but i flick it back to diesel to retain power again.

Things i have done: A new lift pump has been fitted (delphine), have just fitted a new tank sender unit as elbow connections were "furry"!!
Have cleaned out sediment bowl and been told to bypass it, but has always ran fine with it.

Extra info: Twin tank system, main tank veg oil 2nd tank in boot used for diesel.

ATG veg oil conversion kit fitted. (not by me, bought it already installed and done a few thousand miles with no issues)

heres a pic of the loop around:

Recap
: Runs fine on diesel, just when i switch over to veg it doesnt, like theres an air block in the system. The veg oil does go round pipe but reluctantly and with big air gaps. Was running ok till i put a new filter on it :( (dont touch nout till it broke springs to mind)

Any help/advice given for other things to try would be much appriciated.

have you tried dumping acouple of litres striaght into the diesel tank, to see how it runs. Your setup looks good, but i run mine on bio/veg direct into the fuel tank, and have no problems that way.

It does sound as thou you have a air leak on your veg unit
