i just need som help on my discovery i got a cuple of problems with it
i was driving the car down the motorway and it caught fire:(

when i got the car home i found out that the front bearing broke and the alternater was the problem but it burnt away some of the wires on the back of the alternater so got a new one and cut out the burnt bits and replast the wire (but not the main one between the alternater and the battery) but after about 2 month the alternater went. so got a other one and a new ba ttery as well but this time it took out the 100amp fuse as well. So now i replace the wire between the battery and the alternater with some battery cable and solder the wire on. it worked for about 6 month and then on a long trip the alternater terminal got so hot it melted the solder out of the terminal. so now i have crimp the wire and still the alternater have fail (the part that fail is the RECTIFIER) so i need some help to stop my disco stay off the road thanks
