Just rescued the Bin men...

The Bin men just got stuck on the hill in our close, I told him I'd give him a pull and he laughed and said "Mate this is over 15 tonnes" 5 mins later he was still laughing as I pulled him up the slope. It was on compacted snow and Ice, good old MTs haven't let me down yet..

Haha.. To be fair the disco did struggle, that hill is quiet steep and I had to stand on the brakes to trick the diff.

The look on their faces was priceless. He gave me a load of extra bin bags...

Minty was thinking of going out in her 1996 nissan micra, to see if any gaylanders needed rescuing. :bolt:

There's even a video apparently, one of the neighbour's just told me, I'll track it down.

Its like the ultimate test for anyone who's recently had a new crossmember on their Defender. Test the welds out a bit.

Ive seen a gaylander get stuck trying to pull skin off rice pudding

I just found out that the bin lorry was at the end of its round and was a Dennis Eagle Elite II with a Phoenix 2 body and a twin pack weighs 16 tonnes net

Fully loaded it has a GVW of 26 tonnes

Yup and in the bottom pic you can see my neighbour videoing it on her phone, I've asked her to send me the vid, but I'm still waiting.
