Hi

I have a 200tdi Disco and noticed a problem with it today.

If I take it out of gear when coming to a stop it starts to judder as if it was still in gear and about to stall just before I come to a stop. I also noticed a slight squeak when turning slowly. Which has now gone for a bit.

Any ideas what it could be ?

where/what I need to check ?

Thanks

I think you will find the judder is the handbrake catching slightly. In normal use, the drive overpowers this, but when you coast to a halt, you may notice it. It was a continuous problem on my 300Tdi - either had a small amount of judder or handbrake needed about 8 notches to come on properly. Test is to back off the adjustment on the handbrake a bit. It's not a good idea to run Landy's with the handbrake catching - the heat generated is not good for the transfer box oil seal.

Don't know about the squeak!
Cheers!

my disco does the judder when coming to a stop and when you pull the hand brake on a bit it goes worse it as just had a new transfer box oil seal so i will try to back the hand brake off and see if that cures it thanks.

Or warped brake discs can cause the problem as well as stuck calipers any juddering first thing to check should be brakes if it ain't them then grease prop shaft uj's if it go's then comes back they are worn.
