Hi All,

Having no luck so far. I'm looking for a pair of Jackmates or other similar Front Recovery point as still have original bumper and a A Bar fitted.

Dont wish to replace bumper or get rid of A Bar, the other option would be Jate Rings but they are not wide enough with the A Bar still in place.

Thanks....

I bought a pair of those several years ago for my old Range Rover, from First Four

They don't seem to have them on their website anymore.

David Bowyer also used to sell them, but I can't see them on his website either.

Would it not be easier to fit a steering guard that has these on already?

That's a good point - First Four do these, which look just like their Jackmates, but with a Steering Guard -

5mm thick steel guard with heavy duty 10mm side brackets. Rear strengthening web. Fully seam welded. This guard also incorporates built in jacking points and recovery eyes. The finished is hot dipped galvanized.
Suitable for left or right hand drive vehicles.

I have a pair of these Jack Mates and I am considering having a batch of them made up from 10mm steel plate. I need to get the originals to a profile cutter to get a quote for cutting them. The tube and welding part is no problem as I get them professionally welded.

The more I get made the cheaper they will be.

Anyone interested? post here or PM me

If the price was right I'd have a set:)

The price would be the cost of the plates and say a fiver on each for the steel tube and welding. I could prob supply the fixing bolts etc as well for a couple of quid extra.

Postage would be about £12 as they are heavy. If poss I will try to save postage by using Landyzones courier service, but that all depends on were it has to go and when?

Not doing it to make a profit just help fellow Disco owners out, which is what this forum is all about :D

I have had a few PM's already so I will be getting prices this week and possibly on a steering guard version as well.

I have had a look at this thread but doesnt seem to help me much.
I am looking to fit recovery points to my disco 300tdi 1997 front end.
It is fitted with a standard bumper with the bottom valance cut away. I have a steering guard fitted too.
Jate rings would be ideal but the ones I have seen on ebay say "not suitable with a steering guard".

Either get a steering guard with recovery points built in or there are "wide" jate rings out there that have been adapted to fit with a steering guard.
