Hi there,
I have a '97 Discovery 300Tdi and my indicators just stopped working this morning.
Had to stop the car to top up the power steering fluid, so popped my hazards on (all working fine) did what I had to do, closed the bonnet, hazards were still working, got back in the car, turned them off, then when I got to the end of the street and indicated, Nothing. Not even the light on dash is working. Hazards are off too.
Any ideas what it could be? Flasher unit maybe?
I'm going to try and get to the flasher unit tomorrow when there's some day light. It was too dark once I finished work, and my torch didn't want to play.
It's just another thing to add to the list of things to go wrong with all this cold weather :(

Thanks guys

Well I tried turning it on and off quickly, and its still dead. If I was to take off the hazard switch, would this bring my indicators back, or does there need to be a switch in place to complete the circuit and allow it to work?
I also noticed when I was pressing the hazard button there was a very faint noise coming from what I think was the flasher unit. It was definitely that area.
Just wish I could get to the sort of the problem. My hand is gonna end up dropping off if I have to use the old fashioned hand signals on my journeys :(

The fuse was the first thing I checked, and all was fine.
I've been trying to get my hands on a hazard switch, but no luck so far.
I have a feeling it's not gonna be as easy as replacing the switch. She really does a good job when shes in self destruct mode. But I wouldn't have her any other way

Did you ever manage to find and fix this problem? Ive got a 200TDi 93 Disco that is doing the same thing all of a sudden, no indicators or hazards, but weirdly the indicator lights still all flash fine when locking/unlocking via the fob?!

Don’t hold your breath, the OP hasn’t been seen in just over two years. Anyway the 200 series indicator wiring is very different from the 300s.
