Hi there and thanks to all who contributed to my last thread, I think that the cause of my non start prob was the imobiliser, if I get another, will it need to be reset etc or is it just "plug and play" doubt I could be that lucky. Thanks ... Paul.

Remind us all of the model/year of disco. It you have a two button fob security system then immobilser is the 'spider' located behind the dash and it's a direct replacement.

Bloody marvellous thanks, yes it is a 2 button fob for a late 97 3.9 v8. Is the said unit behind the glove box on the sidewall ? I was informed it could be or is that on an older model ? thanks again .. Paul

No it's behind the dash but check first some do and some don't as 1997-8 was the change over period to the newer system part of which was then incorporated into the security system in the D2 in 1998 which don't have 'spiders'.
If you remove the radio head unit and look down with a torch into the void behind the dash controls you can see it just, if it's there that is.

Tell you what, Ratty me old mate, you can forget that bloody thing after reading up on the thread you kindly found for me lol.
