Immobilizer ring and new lock

Hi All,
I have broke me key in the ignition lock,
I also have an immobillizer ring fitted,
if i buy a new ignition lock and key does ithe key have to be codded to the ring, if so were do i find the code and if not how does it work,
i would really appreciate some help as i want to get my poor landy back on the road ready for some summer fun.

ok well i have done research myself and found that the key fob remote is coded to the ring, and the ignition key and be replaced no problem, thanks for looking
