how to re-programme discovery 2 key

Got a secondhand disco 2 key with an 8 digit code, mates got auto logic test book, but it keeps asking for the 18 digit code and you cant overide it?? Any advice, programmed key on last disco 2 no problems. Any advice greatly appreciated, as off on a 3 thousand mile adventure and my only other key is knackered too!

Not sure about autologic, but the nanocom has the option to use either the barcode that comes with a new key, or the code printed inside the key. I know that not all diagnostics let you use the internal number.

As posted Nanocom is currently the only tool that will program "used" keys, Testbook, Hawkeye, Autologic etc will all only do new keys with full barcode.
