How Much Is The Cat Worth?

Got to replace rear exhaust at some point. Local 4x4 place does a whole exhaust (without cat) for almost the same price as just the back box so will get a whole set from them.

How much is the cat worth from a 300tdi? Might as well take it down the scrappy next time I am there to go towards the exhaust. Got a few batteries and 1/2 ton steel to go too.

It's platinum inside so that will give you a clue of how much its worth. Cut the steel back to the edges of the cat or some will give you less

i got £5 for a cat last time i took one to the scrap yard, used more fuel getting there than it was worth !

Mate works at a garage,
they save up the cats to pay for the Xmas drinks.

Parently they had £400 in the pot from a years worth of cats from a busy garage.....
So individually probably not that much.

My local scrap man will give me £10 for a full cat, but will knock £30 off a scrap car if it ain't got a cat figure that one out
