how long does the battery in the remotecontrol/key lasts??

can anyone give me an idea how long the battery lasts in the remote control/key of a Disco 2 td5. I've changed it 8 months ago and she's giving trouble again... anyone??

Depends on the battery and on how often u use it......i use Varta and it lasts around 14 to 16 months

dont know whats in mine but i have had my 300 for four years on the battery it came with and no probs so far

battery should last a year or two , might not be the battery could be a loose connection in the fob or dry solder happened to mine on a vectra .
