just fill till it comes out ,just shy of 3 litres ,mtf can give better gear change sometimes but is more expensive so some leave it in too long ,ive never seen a gearbox suffer from atf ,its leaving in too long and contamination that hurt boxes ,synthetics are used mainly nowadys as they maintain there lubricative properties longer ,but before ordinary oil has lost its ,it would need changing due to contamination,ie water(condensation)metal particles from internal parts etc

no never needed to yet i dont believe in reading and posting if you dont understand how it works, ive worked with them for a long time plus learnt engineering principles i used to work at lr reconditioners and after a week they laid everyone off apart from 6 of us so i got to play with engine machining ,gearboxes , axles ,pas boxes ,autos etc,at one time i had to work out and make parts list of every gearbox ,axle ,borg warner etc lr did for building new units for lr thru unipart ,somethings stick ,we used to buiild in 40 units per order so you get to see some statistical faults when stripping them ie whats worn commonly ,funnily enough my hardest arguments are with those that have read something because they have read it they are so sure even if they dont know why
