hi all, while driving home the other night the temp gauge went nearly up into the red and the heater was very cold, turned out that the thermostat had failed. so i have replaced the thermostat with a new one put new coolant in. the problem is now when the engine gets up to temp it starts blowing water out of the radiator cap.
When i have took the plug out of the top of the thermostat housing and looked inside there has been no coolant left in there.
Does this sound like the head gasket has gone?
any help would be apreciated.
thanks
