HID Kit Legallity for 300tdi

i have herd many different things about HID kits being illeagal depending on your headlamp but i was wondering if anyone knows are they legal in my 300tdi headlamps or evan if they are legal in the td5 facelift model??

This all you need to know and your headlamps are not designed for HID lamps.
Aftermarket HID (Xenon) headlamps

HID are not legal in TDi 300 headlamps.

For them to be legal your vehicle needs to have headlamp washers and an auto self-levelling feature (note: not level adjustment).

The headlight should be designed for HID bulbs to be legal and as already has been said needs to be self levelling and headlight wash fitted. As your headlight lenses are designed for a filament type bulb it would still be illegal even if you managed to work out an auto levelling system with them. It is the same for fitting LED bulbs in back lights etc too as the lenses on those are also designed for a filament bulb.
