Hi all,

quick intro, i have been a series owner for the past 6 months but am selling up, it was a project that i have run out of time and money to complete.

Looking to get a disco 1, what should i be looking for? rust? engine noises? anything in particular.

looking to spend bout a grand on the actual car then the rest over time etc, what condition am i likely to get for this price? Which is better the 200 or 300tdi?

do a search... been covered hundreds of times.

for about 1K you'll get a rust bucket, sugest you buy a MIG welder, if you dont have one, and learn how to weld.

bout 2 weeks time ill have a disco 1 300 tdi through its mot with no stones unturned as far as welding goes evrything is getting stripped and replaced with new steel i think the boss is gonna be askin £1700 or nearest offer for it when done if yer interested
