Help rubbing and knocking sound

hi all

i have a 300tdi disco (1995) and went out in it today only to discover it has developed a new problem

i have a rubbing and knocking noise when i do over about 30 mph getting worse the faster i go and it might be me but the front end feels a wee bit wobbly as you drive along any ideas or should i go strait for the ujs

they did on my mates disco about a month ago they are lubricated with grease so if they haven't been checked and re greased for a while they would have been running dry also the wheel bearings are good for 100,000 miles so may need doing anyway depending on mileage.
