Hopefully this is a quick one...
I have some Disco 1 rock sliders arriving today (sill-mount, NOT chassis-mount). I therefore need some bolts to go right through from the outside, through the sill, out the other side, with a nut on the end (Ideally a nyloc, i suppose).
Obviously I could just take some measurements and go buy some bolts, but given that I'm putting 6 per side do i need to look for a particular tensile strength?
Do i need any washers? What thickness of bolt? I was told to buy some 8mm drill bits, so I have done... but they do seem rather thin. Would six 8mm thick bolts hold a sill-mounted rock slider on sufficiently? ...and yes - my sills are in very good condition.
Anyway... I need to go buy these bolts in about 2 hours time (midday today)... if there's any way I can know exactly what I need to buy by then, that'd be fantastic...
