Help: missing bolt or drain plug

Hi all,

Please excuse if this is a noob question, but I've only had my Disco 2 days. While crawling around underneath I noticed what could be a missing bolt or drain plug - right in the middle of the attached pic.

Any Disco experts able to tell me what should be in this hole? Any need to be concerned?

Sigh.

Wading plug drain hole. It's normally open to let any oil drain out, only needs a plug in when wading or off roading.

If yu didn't know what it was called - maybe yu should have looked at your thread title. There might have been a clue there

id be a bit more concerned that you have no under-seal on your chassis

Dont need underseal with that oil leak,that'll keep the chassis cushty....drive it harder so it leaks more !

Underseal... yeah, all in good time.

Gonna fix what's boken first... like that oil leak, missing bump stop, crusty bushings, poorly installed lift, under-sized wheel arch extenders, and so on...

Now I just need to remember why I bought the bloody thing...

because you have so much spare time and spare money that you had to do something with it !
