Happy new year to everybody...:D

Have just bought a Discovery TD5 XS....

Could anyone point me in the direction of getting the two 'dickie seats' and trims?
I need the half leather half suede ones in black??

Have seen a full set of 7 on ebay via a breakers but they won't split.

Any help please based in Devon??????

Have you got air suspension or coil springs on the rear? Because I believe you can no longer have 7 seats with a coil rear suspension, on certain age vehicles or after. European law apparently, also consult with your insurance. We all now what they can be like. As for the dickie seats it's a waiting game I'm affraid. Suppose you could ring round the local scrap merchants, you never Know your luck. Happy new year to you sir.

Errm My 2001 TD5 has had the air suspension replaced with coils and I still have 7 seats in it! I don't use the 2 back ones though and they are tucked to the side but didn't know it was ' illegal'

Like I said I'm only lead to believe that this is. I think it's a grey area, try and google it & summat will come up on the issue. In particular the insurance thingy, they will do anything not to pay out.

It is a grey area. Technically I've read that you can fail an MOT if you replace the air with springs and have 7 seats as Land Rover only got approval for 7 seats on the Disco with air suspension - they didnt apply for springs. However, I've never heard of anyone actually failing an MOT for that reason, and some of the better quality springs are meant to be as good if not better than the air suspension system. I've also not heard of anyone having any insurance premium increase for that reason that they couldnt solve by changing companies. In other words its a more a technical rather than a safety issue as far as I've managed to make out. hope this helps

Yes it does have air suspension.

To get back to the original post does anyone have names or contact nos of any 4x4 breakers? Possibly ones that aren't on the web??
Thanks.
