heavy smoker

hi guys,
I've got a disco 300tdi that smokes heavily under acceleration (a heavy white smoke), it tickes over fine, but smokes heavily as soon as it reaches 1500rpm, I've adjusted the tappets, given it an oil flush and change, checked the turbo hoses and cleaned all the breather pipes,l changed the air filter, i've also let it warm up for 30 mins on tick over but it still plooms smoke when accelerated can anybody suggest other things i should check?

Have you checked if you are losing any water, or if there is any oil in the header tank ?

Gummed up inlet manifold from the EGR. Intercooler needs cleaning out as possibilities.
There is somewhere on here advise on how to adjust the injection pump. If its out it can cause smoking. Could be dirty injectors. Injector cleaner in the tank wouldn't do any harm.

Most if not all of the above would give black smoke.

Did this problem suddenly start or has it gradualy got worse?

As already said are you loosing coolant?

White smoke is normally assosiated with pump timing, would be an idea to get that checked.

i have td5 disco mine has blown white smoke as described since november time , did same as suggested above , nothing changed , now i am in the process of replacing turbo due to failure no engine damage luckily , worth checking for play on wheel shaft and scoring on inlet housing and checking oil, change it and filter .
