The springs on my 04 Disco are in need of changing after covering 158k miles and towing a Austin Champ round most of Scotland.

I want to put Medium or Heavy duty spings on the back to stop the car sitting down when loaded with tools, spare straps and all the other crap that goes on a trip out with a 101 (soon to be 2) and 2 Champs (1 on the trailer). The problem I'm having is all the uprated springs seen to lift the car by 2" which I don't want to do as it's my every day drive and wife has moaned enough about me wanting to put a winch bumper on the front so a lift is out the question.

What has anybody else done as I'm sure I'm not the first do want to do this?

Just fit new standard springs,after158k originals going to be rather worn, also you can get air bag spring boosters you pump up when loaded.[good excuse to get an on board compressor.]Time for some new shocks as well.
