I've just removed my front springs to fit HD spring retainers and turret rings. After refitting the front springs are not properly seated, the picture below should give an indication of what I mean. Anyone got an idea what I've done wrongly during re-assembly? Ben

normally fits poorly at bottom ,presume yours are fitting square at bottom ,its because front axle is at greater angle than front, what h/d r
etainer have you used is spring clamped at bottom similar to rears

They are seated 100% at the bottom, not sure on the make of the retaining strip but it's bloody heavy duty, probably about 6-8mm thick...

Let me grab a picture of the bottom spring seat, I've installed the retainer so it is covering the coil spring on both sides, is that correct?

Put the wheel back on and and put the weight on it. Might just need a good speed bump to seat it

EDIT:

Also, with a lift kit, unless you fit castor correction arms then your front axle will twist forward slightly. If you havnt put the weight back on it fully, it might be that angle change you are seeing?

thats why, spring unless under stress will want to sit with one end not square usualy bottom but you have secured bottom so its top that sits unsquare ,dont normally have spring clamp on front ,its obviously more noticeable with h/d springs
