Hi all, just got my discovery today.

Hope someone can help me with this, Got home and pushed the button to fold the mirrors in and only 1 folded, so pushed the button again to fold it back out which it did, but the other 1 folded in!!! so now when i push the button 1 folds out and the other folds in!!! I cant get them to both be in or out at the same time. :confused: :confused: please help!!!
 
Thanks Disco01, tried that already but doesn't work, all that happens is alot of worring sound from the mirror that i've pushed in myself then a click and then its back to how it was before!
 
Have you tried folding them in and then out in quick succession? Sometimes that resets them
 
yup tried that didn't work, tried pushing the button loads of times with the same result, one in and one out! really fustrating!!

Maybe one of them has been hit out the other way and this is causing it to be out of sync,,,,:scratching_chin: ,,,,maybe if you hold the one thats in,in then press the button to bring the other one in, that might work,,,or if not then vice versa,,,,,,,if you know what i mean,,,good luck ;)
 
Thank RSM72, Tried that as well, didn't work! Its looking like a trip to the work shop and I only picked the bloody thing up today!

Does that mean you've never seen then work correctly?
That would suggest that two wires have been swapped somewhere.
Also brings uo the age old question, why did the last owner sell it?
 
Hi, new here. Over here on the other side of the pond, but interested in getting the power folding mirrors for my 2000 Disco II. Anybody know where I might be able to find a set with wiring harness, etc?

Mine did the same - I turned the ignition off, waited a bit and then moved the mirror that was folded "in" to the "out" position. Then turned the ignition back on again. If I recall it took a couple of attempts to get the two mirrors to re-synch but it worked in the end. The motors that move the mirrors seem to get confused if you hold the switch down for too long.
