fabricating new exhaust

i am going to make a new exhaust for my td5 i have a 3in dia straight through silencer i was going to use, should i keep it 3in all the way, there is going to be a side exit pipe and no rear box.

There is a design to performance exhaust system and they cost a few bob as my Janspeed system did, the mid silencer is not straight through that wouldn't serve any purpose but it is de-restricted but still giving the requried amount of back pressure so the engine still runs correctly, the pipe has a 70mm ID.

yes keep it the same or at lesat dont make it smaller as smooth and straight the better

Is it, but thats how I see it.
Only because I'm an electrical engineer and exhausts systems are not my field, and it does work.

Perhaps it's partial restricted
