Potential stupid question...
I have a loud low pitch (knocking?) noise from the engine but only on idle or low revs.
It sounds almost like either of the ancilliary belts has stretched and is thwapping on one of the wheels but I did change both of these last year whilst doing head recon job.
Any suggestions?
Have checked the oil and is near max, could look at valve clearances but its a deep sound that doesn't seem to be coming from the head.
First port of call I shall replace both belts but any other ideas appreciated.
